BAJANG

Malay Demon

The evil vampire polecat

This is an evil spirit which appears in the form of a weasel or wild cat. These can be summoned up by those of a witchy disposition via a horrible ceremony involving dead bodies. The Bajang then becomes a sort of demonic pet who will do your bidding. It will run errands, do the dishes and spit poisonous venom towards your enemies.

These creatures do tend to stick around their witches for generations, but need to be kept in a bamboo cage otherwise they will escape. If you happen to see a wild polecat, do not attempt to put it in a cage. Not unless you have a bamboo cage and like the idea of a pet demon.

What you catch may of course just be an ordinary polecat. In this case it will always try and bite the hand that feeds it.
