URUBUTSIN

Kamayurá God

The Vulture King and Hoarder of Light

He is a two-headed vulture who lives in the Milky Way. He once owned all the light in the universe, but refused to let anyone else see it. Luckily Kuat and Iae tricked him and clobbered him until he was forced to see sense.

Now he owns a fifty per cent share and gave up the rest in the form of the Sun and Moon.

However, the question remains: what was a giant vulture doing with all that light in the first place? Is there something about vultures we don’t know? See also Ugúvu-cuengo.
