KOSCHEI

Russian Bad God

Also known as Koschei-Bessmertnyi, Koshchey, Коще́й

Bad old God of Regeneration

Deathless damsel-snatching deity of death and rebirth.

He’s the lean, very mean horseman known as ‘Old Bones’. Despite his skeletal appearance he moves like greased lightning when it comes to snatching maidens and bearing them off to wherever he lives. They quite often get rescued though.

His mother — or possibly auntie — is the old Death Goddess Baba Yaga.
