BRONO

Norse Daytime God

Not a Norse God of Daylight

Unless we are much in error, Brono is a non-existent non-entity perpetuated by uncomprehending mortals by mistake.

It’s claimed that he is a Norse deity of daylight and Balder’s son. However the only source for this we are aware of is a tiny unreferenced entry on some website back in 1999. Those were the primeval days of the internet, when random pieces of info were accepted as gospel and set in stone like Holy Writ.

Perhaps Brono is a nickname or misinterpretation of Balder’s son Forseti. However, it’s far more likely that BRONO is just a commercial brand name for Holy Washing Powder.
