DZOAVITS

Shoshone Demon

Earthquake Demon with a fondness for raw eggs

He spent a lot of time chasing a sacred dove and stealing her eggs. She had many friends in the animal world and they rallied to help. Subterfuge, trickery and jiggery-pokery were decided upon to trap the demon.

He was fooled into jumping into a hole where he thought the dove was hiding. She was hidden all right, just outside the entrance, and when the demon was at the bottom, Badger and a flight of birds dropped red hot rocks down until the hole was fully blocked.

So far as we know, the demon is still sealed in. Unless there has been a volcano since.
