FAT GOD

Maya Banquet God

An ancient deity of ballooning obesity

He is famously depicted as a happily replete figure lying on his back with a bulging belly pointing to the skies.

His name, history and characteristics are unknown. Except he must have a record of over-eating. Everyone just calls him the Fat God. Anyone care to fill us in? We’re greedy for more info.

He could be making a comeback — obesity is ballooning across the developed world. If you are surreptitiously worshiping the Fat God between meals or craving midnight invocations around the refrigerator, please stop encouraging him.
