ŽALTYS

Lithuanian Protection Spirit

Also known as Zaltys

Sacred Snake Spirits

They belong to Sun Goddess Saulė.

These are very user-friendly and cuddly. They are small green grass snakes and harbor no poison. They want to help. Keep one under the bed or in the kitchen. Not only will they give you protection, you won’t need to buy insect repellent.

If that doesn’t persuade you, Žaltys are symbols of fertility and also help foretell the future. The Queen of the ZALTYS is Egle.
