LAUMES

Lithuanian Compassion Spirits

Also known as Laumės

Beautiful Spirits of Compassion

Originally a singular Goddess who was a bride of Perkunas, she somehow came to Earth and multiplied into a multitude of Baltic Nymphs.

Tales abound of fey women or spirits with big breasts and long blonde hair who bathe naked a lot.

Usually in such cases there’s a sinister motive, but with the Laumes it might just be worth it. To deny them an entry in Godchecker would only leave us open to accusations of sexism.

They are helpful and charitable, especially rewarding impoverished but hard-working people. Like fairies, they also have a darker side, punishing the lazy, evil-doers and guys who can’t stop staring at their breasts.
