KUPOLE

Lithuanian Spring God

Also known as Kaupolė, Kupolė

Frolicking Spring Spirit

He is the nature spirit of spring flowers and vegetation. Every spring he has a lovely festival with much dancing, singing and lovely ladies wearing garlands. We are not sure if his consort Kaupolis joins in.

In Russia and elsewhere he is known as Kupala where much the same applies.
