KOJIN
Shinto Hearth Goddess
Goddess of the Kitchen and Trees
She is a domestic kitchen deity, the female version of Sanbo-Kojin.
She is also — we are told — a deity of ancient trees and lives in an enoki tree — which we are told is a nettle tree.
We don’t seem to have such a thing outside our kitchen window, but expect one would fit in amongst our Bo Tree, Yggdrasil and the Hazel Tree of Knowledge.
