Japanese information

Picture of the Japanese information Hannya from our Japanese mythology image library. Illustration by Chas Saunders.

A jealous mask

This is the mask of a demonness with fangs and horns. We don’t know if it is based on a real demon, but if so she has theatrical ambitions and likes to turn up in masked plays known as Noh.

GodNote: Sorry this Hannya article is a bit short. We have sent our Data Dwarves off to find more nuggets of information. Updates coming soon.
