TUNUPA

Bolivian Knowledge God

Also known as Thonapa, Thunupa, Thunupu

Moribund heroic son of a Creator God

He was some kind of blue-eyed cult hero among the Aymara of Bolivia.

His mission to spread civilization and knowledge met with limited success as most people were more interested in having fun. It was like talking to a brick wall.

What’s a God to do but turn them all to stone? So be warned: ignore his wise words at your peril.

Under the Inca empire he became associated with Illapa.
