YAMUNÂ

Hindu River Goddess

Goddess of the river Yamuna

The daughter of Surya, she looks after this fairly sacred river which meets the even more sacred river Ganges.

She rides a tortoise, holds a blue lotus and carries a fly swatter. Spiritual and practical, we like that.
