VEDAS

Hindu information

The sacred Hindu texts

These originally date from oral traditions between 1500—1200 BC and were finally written down a thousand years later.

Amazingly, they are still in print after all this time, but have a bit more competition in the bestseller charts, what with all the new religions such as Christianity, Harry Potter and so on.

The most famous of them is the Rig-Veda, but there are three others: SAMA VEDA, YAJUR VEDA and ATHARVA VEDA. Sorry to disappoint, but there is no DARTH VEDA.
