PÛTANÂ

Hindu Demoness

A witchy baby-minder from hell

She was a demoness who tried to make a sucker out of the baby Krishna.

Getting a job as a wet nurse, she put poison on her nipples. Krishna sucked so hard he sucked her inside out, and left nothing but an empty skin.

How the baby chuckled — poison indeed! He had the digestion of an immortal. We hate to think who had the job of changing his nappies.
