SONS OF HORUS

Egyptian Funerary Gods

Also known as Four Sons Of Horus

Funerary Gods who run a bespoke embalming service

These are four dead good God brothers by the equally dead good Horus. They undertake to help the deceased on their journey to the underworld, looking after the embalmed bodily bits and wrapping up all the loose ends.

Their names are Duamutef, Hapy, Imsety and Qebehsenuef, and we refuse to rise to the childish temptation of labeling them ‘mummy’s boys’.

Come to think of it, calling someone a ‘son of Horus’ sounds like a terrible insult.
