St. PEREGRINE LAZIOSI

Christian Saint

Servite priest who contracted cancer of the foot

As surgeons prepared to amputate, he put himself in God’s own hands.

Lo and behold, in the morning when the operation was due to commence, the foot was found to be fully restored. God had done a first-rate job and there was not even the tiniest scar.

Our Saint was so overjoyed with his new foot that it’s said he did not sit down for 30 years.

He’s now the Patron Saint of Cancer Sufferers, obviously.
