St. NARCISSUS OF JERUSALEM

Christian Saint

He became Bishop at eighty years old

After lots of malice and unsubstantiated slanderous accusations, the old Bishop had had enough. He wandered off to live in solitude with no forwarding address.

Three bishops later he reappeared. The three miscreants who’d done their best to destroy his reputation had all come to divine retribution types of death. So he was prevailed upon to take up administration again.

After a while he decided to employ some extra administrative staff, which was just as well as he did carry on until he was 116.
