St. MARIA GORETTI
Christian Saint
Patron Saint of Teenage Girls
Martyr who came back.
She was stabbed at the age of 12 by a teenage neighbor. His name was Alexander, and she had been refusing his sexual advances.
Showing no remorse, he was jailed for life. She forgave him as she lay dying, and turned up in a vision to visit him in jail.
Released after twenty-seven years, he sought out our Saint’s mother to seek her forgiveness, now being full to the brim with remorse and sorrow. This he received.
Maria was not canonized until 1950 — but first and foremost in the crowd when the announcement was made was Alexander.
