St. KEYNE

Christian Saint

Also known as Keyna

Welsh Princess turned Hermit

Devoting herself to contemplation, she spurned several suitors and closeted herself on the banks of the River Severn.

This must have become somewhat boring as she then embarked on a round-Britain trip, traveling all over the place in as hermit-like a way as possible.

In her wake she left many new churches and probably a lot of wells too.

Her nephew St. Cadoc finally persuaded her to return to Wales, where her trail ends.
