St. JEANNE DE LESTONNAC

Christian Saint

Also known as Joan Of Lestonnac

Another saintly mother with four children

Why is it so often four? Probably so one can understand the need to go off and search of a peaceful vocation.

This mother chose the Cisterians and was involved with founding an order of teachers.

She did not seem to be too popular and suffered slander and abuse both mentally and physically from a nun who was put in charge of her by a bishop.

Perhaps with hindsight parenthood wasn’t so bad.
