St. JANUARIUS

Christian Saint

Patron Saint of Naples

Bishop of Benevento and Patron of Naples.

Possibly martyred, but his blood lives on. It is in a phial in Naples cathedral.

If it seems to have dried up this is not so — for miraculously it liquefies eighteen times a year.
