St. BRUNO

Christian Saint

Also known as Bruno-Of-Cologne

Patron Saint of those Possessed by Spirits or Demons

Founder of the Carthusian Monks.

Expelled from Rheims after accusing the Archbishop of selling privileges, he opted for the quiet life at Chartreuse.

But he went on to build the monastery which came to known as ‘La Grand Chartreuse’, from which the word Charterhouse evolved.

The place is also famous for the green and yellow Chartreuse liqueurs still produced. If you try them both you will never be able to make up your mind and will have to alternate.
