St. BÉNÉZET

Christian Saint

The Bridge Builder

A lowly shepherd, he had a vision during an eclipse and thereupon decided that with divine guidance he could build a bridge over the Rhone — where the force of the river had prevented the Romans from doing so.

He started but was not able to finish, but it was completed four years after he died. That’s divine guidance for you.
