St. APOLLONIUS THE APOLOGIST

Christian Saint

Apologetic Martyr

Martyr. He is sorry about the confusion, but the Apologists were a Christian group that pondered on aspects of Christianity.

This one was in court conducting his case about eternal life and apologizing for not preferring life to eternal life after death, so the Romans crushed his legs and beheaded him to see what happened. A very sorry tale.

We in turn can only apologize for confusion that may be caused by similar Apologist Saint names such as St. Apollinaris.
