St. ANTONINUS OF FLORENCE

Christian Saint

Also known as Anthony Of Florence, Antonio Pierozzi

Patron Saint of Fever

Dominican Bishop of Florence. It took a while for him to become Bish as he was a sickly chap with constant attacks of fever and illness.

He became a founder of modern moral theology and Christian social ethics. This all started when he declared that his wallet belonged to the poor. When it was empty he gave away his furniture and clothes. After that, what?

Ironically, he approved of making a profit, as the money to do good had to come from somewhere.
