St. ALOYSIUS GONZAGA

Christian Saint

Patron Saint of Children and Teenagers, Jesuit Scholars

From privileged pageboy to Jesuit priest.

The son of a Marquis born in a castle in Brescia, he decided as a young lad to remain always a virgin and vowed never to look a woman in the face.

With a pledge like that it was obvious God had plans for him. His father was not happy having marked him down for an eventual military career.

But for this rather sickly lad, Sainthood was more preferable than Swordsmanship.
