Dominican Friar from Cologne. Well deserving of his Great Title.

Also known as Albert Magnus, and The Universal Doctor, he went in for science, mathematics, philosophy, map-making, climate, theology and Aristotle for Christians.

He is not to be confused with Alfred the Great, Albert Einstein or Prince Albert.
