SAMANTABHADRĪ

Tibetan (Vajrayana) Truth Goddess

The Primordial Mother Buddha

She is the consort of Samantabhadra and symbolizes the female aspect of Absolute Truth.

Like her metaphysical spouse, she is completely naked — and proud of it. What better way is there to indicate the purity of Truth? (We certainly can’t think of any.)

The two of them spend most of their time embracing in Lotus fashion and engaging in Yab-Yum. It’s what makes the Universe go round.
