MUCALINDA

Indian Snake Spirit ๐Ÿ

Also known as Muchalinda, Muchilinda, Mucilinda

Very useful snake king to have around in bad weather

The King of the Nagas, he is the giant cobra who protected Buddha as he sat meditating under the bho tree. (Actually, a wild fig for those of you that give a fig for such details).

The weather was terrible, with storms, rain, thunder and no doubt demonic blustery roars too. To prevent his master being distracted from his vitally important thinkings, Mucalinda made himself useful as an umbrella. Naturally he was a hooded cobra.
