MIYOLANGSANGMA

Tibetan Mountain Goddess

Also known as Jomolungma, Miyo Lang Sangma, Miyo Langzangma

Bon Goddess of Mount Everest

One of the TSERINGMA, she lives on the slopes of Everest (locally called Chomolungma).

She has five sisters and they all have a mountain each. The head sister is Tashitsheringma.

She used to be Goddess of Prosperity, which she withheld most of the time. Now has had a change of heart after being chastised by a Buddhist guru and now offers protection.

Tourists bring wealth and she is willing to put up with it, despite them clambering all over her nice clean mountain with their muddy boots.

Please, no leaving rubbish or making the snow dirty. Roasting meat and other bad smells will not be tolerated.
