LEZA
African Rain God 🌧️
Also known as Lela
Tired old Weather God
In ages past he gave instructions to a certain Honeybird. “Now look, I have an important task for you. I want you to take these three calabashes to Earth for me. These two contain seeds to distribute wherever you wish, but this third one must remain sealed until I come down and attend to it.”
You can guess what happened, can’t you? Is a bird-brain not going to take a peek? It’s Pandora all over again isn’t it? Disaster, chaos and misfortune all over. Leza sighed. There was no way he was going down to clear that mess up.
Now he spends all his time in Heaven spring-cleaning and rumbling around which causes thunder. When he gazes downwards with his rheumy old eyes it causes rainfall.
