KATONDA

Baganda Creator God

Creator God

His daughter controversially fell in love with the one man on Earth. After reflection, Katonda agreed to the marriage. His daughter was allowed to take a bountiful dowry to Earth, on condition that if she did so she could never return.

Kintu, her new husband, decided they needed more grain for the chickens, and made the mistake of visiting his new father-in-law to borrow some. A son of Katonda followed him back to Earth and lay in wait to kill their children. Moral: don’t visit an African God without a specific invitation.
