GENDENWITHA
Iroquois legendary mortal
Also known as Gendewitha
Iroquois Goddess of the Morning Star
She was a princess greatly fancied by Sosondowah, a hunter who had been recruited by Dawn to serve as a guard in heaven. On his days off he flew down to visit Gendenwitha in bluebird or blackbird form.
Showing off, he foolishly took her on a flight to Heaven. Dawn was furious and now Gendenwitha is a gem set in the center of Dawn’S forehead, hanging forever out of his reach. Just call her the Morning Star.
